Maison de Ville 3

Maison de Ville 3 French Country House Plan
Maison de Ville 3

OurMaison de Ville 3 has the same charm as the original Maison de Ville, but is larger with a new, large master on main suite and study with fireplace, and has an integral two car garage. At just over 2,500 square feet, this house has a lot to offer. The house also has design styling that could have come straight from the French countryside of the eighteenth or nineteenth century.  It is truly a storybook house, in appearance, yet designed inside for today's comfortable lifestyles.  Its tall, stone and stucco chimney of local limestone facade are tucked inside a courtyard that would be the perfect setting for an French garden.  Copper finials, a steep roof pitch, arched windows and other traditional French country cottage detailing add character and scale.

A Really Functional Floor plan!

Upon entry, one is greeted by a open, circular stair, and a step down to a surprisingly large, open great room with, vaulted, beamed ceiling, and fireplace flanked by tall windows allowing maximum natural light.  The opposite end of the room features a large, curved window to allow for expansive views to the outside.  A walled terrace is accessed through two sets of French doors.

We offer two floor plans,"A" and "B". They are essentially the same except the great room fireplace is on the front of the house in one plan, and at the right end of the great room in the other. Each has its benefits depending on how you want to use this room.

An open, modern kitchen and eating area open to the great room and have access to a large terrace behind.  A large laundry is across from the master suite. A pantry and powder room are conveniently located just off the kitchen.  The large master bedroom and bath with tub and huge shower are easily accessible off the kitchen away from the activity of the rest of the house. The study with fireplace is close to the master suite and works well as a guest room with its own full bath.

Classic Country French Detailing

At the top of the stairs, a curved wall leads back to two guest bedrooms with shared bath.  A large clerestory window over the front door creates a very interesting, bright space looking down from the upstairs landing to the hall below. A cozy study overlooks the foyer and is the perfect place for a home office, or sunny reading nook.

In all, this 2,521 square foot cottage has surprising features and usable space not often seen in a cozy cottage.
