French architecture has an elegant simplicity that is carried through every detail. The steep 16/12 pitch to the roofs with their graceful kick-out at the base, the flat arched curved top of the tall casement windows, and details such as copper finials and clay chimney pots make this style distinctive.
The painting of our creation, Le Beau Manoir, above, by artist Jan Pollard, conveys the romantic feel of French architecture combined with the beauty of the French countryside. You may want to learn more about her other work as shown in the following film of the collection of paintings she has created for Karen Brown Guides: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tAyKFJMqM8&feature=youtu.be
Like Le Beau Manoir, our Le Beau Manoir "B" attempts to emulate the same design elegance and simplicity of the traditional French Country cottage, while offering surprising elegance inside with a plan designed around today's lifestyles. This plan goes a step further with added space and begins to take on a typical chateauesque "compound" look with its out buildings and wings that create a very private outdoor space for comfortable living off the major living areas of the house.
