hen one thinks of France, the image of "Les Jardins", or the gardens, often comes to mind.  From the formal, expansive gardens of Les Chateaux, or lovely cottage gardens of Monet, French gardens are  like an artist's brushstrokes of living color.  Ivy covered houses, winding paths, rose topiaries and red potted geraniums, make the simplest French gardens irresistible.

We recognize this wonderful French tradition with our Pavillon de Jardin or garden house.  Perhaps it is a small home on the edge of the garden of a great estate.  Or maybe it is an in-town cottage with a cozy, walled garden of its own.  None the less, it is unmistakably French and a garden, no matter how small, will surely be a part of its charm.

The formality of this charming home makes it appropriate for an urban or suburban setting.  A stone framed, arched front entry with wrought iron balcony above are typically elegant French design elements.  Boxed bay windows with heavy wood brackets below and shed roofs above, provide additional detailing that is appreciated inside and out.

A pair of French doors lead to the entry hall with grand staircase to one side.  A view through the family room to the covered porch takes your eye to the garden beyond.  A living room/study off the front hall is opposite a large dining room and butler's pantry.  The more formal front living area open to a large family room with fireplace and open kitchen with bright breakfast room. At one end the kitchen ties into a two car garage with workshop where a back stair case leads past the laundry and powder room to a large bonus room above the garage.  A cozy covered porch is accessible from the family room and master bedroom.  Tucked off to one side of the family room, the master bedroom has a high beamed ceiling and ample his and hers closet space.  The ground floor is ideal for entertaining and family living.

Upstairs, three bedrooms with private baths and ample closet space spin off the stair landing with its overlook to the family room below.  Back stairs lead to a large family room over the garage and down to the kitchen below.  The two staircases provide unusual flexibility and make the house ideal for families who want easy access to bedrooms and all activity areas.
