Having been in the design profession as a registered architect for over thirty years, I have had the pleasure of working with clients around the world. Many of my published projects have been custom homes designed by me for my architectural firm, New South Design, LLC.
These homes have appeared in Pinnacle Living Magazine, South Carolina Homes and Gardens Magazine, and Mountain Homes Southern Style Magazine. They have generated a lot of interest and inquiries as to how one could find that sort of design quality in "off the shelf" plans. The truth is, the design comes down to the designer and most stock plans are not that well designed. Thus New South Classics was born as an alternate source for quality residential plans that have the look and feel of custom plans.
My love of design combined with my love of travel have come together in the form of New South Classics. While we strive to provide an assortment of popular styles from French country houses, English cottages, Mediterranean villas, mountain lodges and coastal retreats, one element is consistent regardless of style or period.... tasteful design with careful attention to authentic detailing, constructibility and functionality. Here, we have brought together quality design and the economies of a web-based residential design service. While our custom plans are never for re-sale, they can and do inspire a line of homes that have proven to be popular and unique.
